Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy

Daniel J. Klionsky, +1287 more
- 01 Apr 2012 -
TL;DR: These guidelines are presented for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macroautophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrasonic vocalization impairment of Foxp2 (R552H) knockin mice related to speech-language disorder and abnormality of Purkinje cells.

TL;DR: Heterozygous Foxp2 (R552H)-KI mice, which showed modest impairment of USVs with different USV qualities and which did not exhibit nuclear aggregates, should provide insights into the common molecular mechanisms between the mouse USV and human speech learning and the relationship between the USVs and motor neural systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Activation of neuronal caspase-3 by intracellular accumulation of wild-type Alzheimer amyloid precursor protein.

TL;DR: Results suggest that wild-type APP is an intrinsic activator of caspase-3-mediated death machinery in postmitotic neurons using adenovirus-mediated gene transfer.
