Daniel J. Klionsky, +1287 more
- 01 Apr 2012 -
TL;DR: These guidelines are presented for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macroautophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

The functional effects of acid ceramidase overexpression in prostate cancer progression and resistance to chemotherapy.

TL;DR: AC is implicates as a critical regulator of PCa progression by affecting not only tumor cell proliferation and migration but also responses to drug therapy, suggesting AC as a potential therapeutic target in advanced PCa.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of Acid Ceramidase in Resistance to FasL: Therapeutic Approaches Based on Acid Ceramidase Inhibitors and FasL Gene Therapy

TL;DR: It is shown that AC is over-expressed in 70% of head and neck squamous cell tumors compared with normal tissues, suggesting that this enzyme may play an important role in facilitating HNSCC growth and the combination of FasL gene therapy and LCL 204 may become a new treatment option for advanced-stageHead and neck cancer.
