Daniel J. Klionsky, +2522 more
- 21 Jan 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macro-autophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.

Functional evidence that the self-renewal gene NANOG regulates human tumor development.

TL;DR: Results demonstrate that NANOG, a cell‐fate regulatory molecule known to be important for ESC self‐renewal, also plays a novel role in tumor development.

Cytosolic Accumulation of HSP60 during Apoptosis with or without Apparent Mitochondrial Release: EVIDENCE THAT ITS PRO-APOPTOTIC OR PRO-SURVIVAL FUNCTIONS INVOLVE DIFFERENTIAL INTERACTIONS WITH CASPASE-3*

TL;DR: It is shown that in numerous apoptotic systems HSP60 protein accumulates in the cytosol, and that in BMD188-induced cell death, HSP50 has a pro- death function and that the pro-death role of HSP 60 seems to involve caspase-3 maturation and activation in the Cytosol.
