Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy (3rd edition)

Daniel J. Klionsky, +2522 more
- 21 Jan 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macro-autophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI

β-Caryophyllene oxide inhibits metastasis by downregulating MMP-2, p-p38 and p-ERK in human fibrosarcoma cells.

TL;DR: CPO could be used as a potential candidate for the treatment of metastasis by inhibiting MMP-2, p-p38 and p-ERK, according to the findings.
Journal ArticleDOI

Portulaca oleracea methanol extract inhibits MMP ‐9 via the inactivation of ERK and JNK in human fibrosarcoma cells

TL;DR: In this article , the effect of Portulaca oleracea methanolic extract (POME) on metastasis in human fibrosarcoma cells was investigated, and it was found that POME, a nature-friendly phytomedicine, could be used as a potential therapeutic adjuvant against metastasis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Silibinin Inhibits Cell Invasion through the Inhibition of MMPs, p-p38, and IL-1β in Human Fibrosarcoma Cells.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the inhibitory effect of silibinin on the invasion of human fibrosarcoma cells using an MTT assay and showed that the effect of silymarin on cell viability was measured in HT1080 cells.
