Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy (3rd edition)

Daniel J. Klionsky, +2522 more
- 21 Jan 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macro-autophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate regulates sorting and processing of amyloid precursor protein through the endosomal system

TL;DR: Phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate deficiency is established as a contributing factor in Alzheimer's disease and the mechanisms of amyloid precursor protein trafficking through the endosomal system in normal and pathological states are clarified.
Journal ArticleDOI

Annexin A2-dependent polymerization of actin mediates endosome biogenesis

TL;DR: The data show that nucleation of actin patches by early endosomes is strictly dependent on annexin A2, a protein involved in early-to-late endosome transport, and that these patches control endOSome biogenesis, presumably by driving the membrane remodeling process.
