Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy (3rd edition)

Daniel J. Klionsky, +2522 more
- 21 Jan 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macro-autophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoactivatable platinum complexes.

TL;DR: These studies show that photoactivatable Pt(IV) antitumor agents represent a promising area for new drug development and are stable to glutathione and thus show very low dark cytotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies of the in vitro anticancer, antimicrobial and antioxidant potentials of selected Yemeni medicinal plants from the island Soqotra

TL;DR: The results show once again that medicinal plants can be promising sources of natural products with potential anticancer, antimicrobial and antioxidative activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel C,N-Cyclometalated Benzimidazole Ruthenium(II) and Iridium(III) Complexes as Antitumor and Antiangiogenic Agents: A Structure–Activity Relationship Study

TL;DR: Phenyl substitution at the R4 position shows increased potency in both Ru and Ir complexes as compared to their parent compounds (3a and 4a) in all cell lines, and in general, ruthenium complexes are more active than the corresponding iridium complexes.
