- 21 Jan 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macro-autophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.

AKT signaling mediates IGF-I survival actions on otic neural progenitors

TL;DR: It is shown that IGF-I-activation of AKT protects neural progenitors from programmed cell death and Proliferative otic neuroblasts are dependent on the activation of the PI3K-AKT pathway by IGF- I for survival during the otic neuronal progenitor phase of early inner ear development.
