Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy (3rd edition)

Daniel J. Klionsky, +2522 more
- 21 Jan 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macro-autophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.

Glucosamine promotes hepatitis B virus replication through its dual effects in suppressing autophagic degradation and inhibiting MTORC1 signaling.

TL;DR: There is a potential risk of enhanced viral replication by oral GlcN intake in chronically virally infected patients through its dual effects in suppressing autophagic degradation and inhibiting MTORC1 signaling.

SLC35B2 Acts in a Dual Role in the Host Sulfation Required for EV71 Infection

TL;DR: A genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 knockout screen for the first time revealed that scavenger receptor class B member 2 (SCARB2), solute carrier family 35 member B2 (SLC35B2), and beta-1,3-glucuronyltransferase 3 (B3GAT3) are essential in facilitating EV71 replication.
