Daniel J. Klionsky, +2522 more
- 21 Jan 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macro-autophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Emergence of Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor T790M Mutation during Chronic Exposure to Gefitinib in a Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Cell Line

TL;DR: Interestingly, transfection of the EGFR carrying only a 15-bp deletion reversed the resistance to gefitinib in RPC-9 cells, suggesting that the balance of expression levels between gefithinib-sensitive or gef itin ib-resistant EGFR may govern the response to gEFit inib in lung cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Role of STAT3 in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

TL;DR: The role of STAT3 and the mechanisms of treatment resistance in malignant diseases, especially NSCLC are reviewed, as STAT3 is a critical mediator of the oncogenic effects of EGFR mutations.
