Guidelines for the use and interpretation of assays for monitoring autophagy (3rd edition)

Daniel J. Klionsky, +2522 more
- 21 Jan 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a set of guidelines for the selection and interpretation of methods for use by investigators who aim to examine macro-autophagy and related processes, as well as for reviewers who need to provide realistic and reasonable critiques of papers that are focused on these processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Casein Kinase 1 Regulates Connexin-43 Gap Junction Assembly

TL;DR: Cellular co-immunoprecipitation experiments and in vitro CK1 phosphorylation reactions indicate that CK1 interacted with and phosphorylated Cx43, initially on serine(s) 325, 328, or 330, and data suggest CK1δ could regulate C x43 gap junction assembly by directly phosphorylating Cx 43.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of Connexin43 phosphorylated at S325, S328 and S330 in normoxic and ischemic heart.

TL;DR: The data suggest that phosphorylation of Cx43 at serine residues 325, 328 and/or 330 influences channel permselectivity and regulates the efficiency of gap junction assembly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Zebrafish Foxd3 is required for development of a subset of neural crest derivatives

TL;DR: In zebrafish Foxd3 may not be required for induction of Neural crest identity but is necessary for the differentiation of a subset of neural crest cell fates, perhaps in precursors of particular neural crest lineages.
